1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern participation in the Teacher Index program, which facilitates teaching opportunities across Nepal through K-Learning, The Jump Academy, and Focus Edge Tuition Classes (“the Institutions”). By registering or continuing to participate, you agree to this Agreement.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide accurate personal, educational, and professional details in the application form.
• Upload an updated CV, academic certificates, and a recent passport-sized photo.
• The Institutions may verify documents and information provided; false or misleading information may lead to rejection or termination.

3. Engagement Structure

This is a contract-based engagement. It is not permanent employment with the Institutions. Teaching opportunities span:

• Levels: Grades 1–12, College, University
• Formats: Institutional placements, Home Tuition, Online/Virtual classes
• Locations: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Butwal, Chitwan, and Online

Availability & Start Timeline

Assignments typically begin within a few weeks of registration, subject to subject demand, location, and scheduling alignment.

4. Fees & Payment Terms

• Teachers receive their professional fees directly from students/guardians.
• 70% of tuition fees is retained by the teacher, while 30% is allocated to the Institutions as a service & placement facilitation fee.
• A one-time registration fee is required to validate your application.
• Teachers are responsible for timely payment of the 30% service fee to the Institutions.

Illustrative Example

If a monthly tuition is NPR 10,000, the teacher receives NPR 7,000 and NPR 3,000 is allocated to the Institutions.

5. Teacher Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and ethical conduct.
• Deliver tuition aligned with agreed subjects, levels, and teaching mode.
• Respect confidentiality of student and guardian information.
• Refrain from misconduct, discrimination, harassment, or any action that harms the Institutions’ reputation.

6. Institutional Responsibilities

• Provide transparent student-teacher matching.
• Offer ongoing administrative and placement support.
• Protect teacher data and use it solely for placement and administration, except where disclosure is required by law.

7. Termination & Suspension

• Either party may terminate with reasonable notice.
• The Institutions may suspend or remove a teacher for misconduct, breach, non-payment of service fees, or submission of false/misleading information.

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Your data is kept in safe hands. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. We use personal data (name, contact, documents) solely for placement and administration, and do not share it with third parties without consent, except if legally required.

Data Minimization

We collect only what is necessary for verification and placement (CV, certificates, photo, teaching preferences, contact details).

9. Disclaimer

The Institutions act as facilitators and are not responsible for disputes related to teaching quality, payments, or personal interactions between teachers and students/guardians. Teachers are independent service providers, not employees.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nepal.

11. Declaration & Acknowledgement

By submitting the registration form and paying the registration fee, you acknowledge and agree that:

• All information provided is true and correct.
• You accept the fee structure: 70% teacher / 30% institution.
• You agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
